Born in Rosario, Argentina, Patricia Basiliades Lovay studied Fine Arts at The National University in Rosario. She was one of the Co-Founders of the Argentine art groups SIGNO (1988) and RoZarte (1989), which achieved recognition for being among the first groups emerging during the nascent New Argentinean democracy. Also was honored to have participated in the First Biennale in Rosario, Argentina (1989).
She then went on to teach Art for over 10 years in preschools and private art ateliers and moved to Miami in 1990 to create her own line of hand painted clothing AGUA ARTWEAR.
Drawing has always been her passion as well as his primary medium of expression. She is currently mainly focused on illustration with mixed media.
Patricia is an artist who uses reality and creativity capturing people’s feelings, reflecting them in emotionally charged drawings.
